We are thrilled to celebrate two of our incredible students who are not only graduating from high school, but also graduating from our music program after years of dedication, growth, and creativity. Kylee joined our music school at age 12, beginning with voice lessons before discovering her true passion for piano. Since then, she’s grown tremendously as a musician, with her latest performance being the beautiful piece “Nocturne” by Laufey.

Beyond the piano, Kylee also explored music journalism through our program, where she:

-Wrote music reviews for various artists

-Interviewed Broadway music director Jennifer Christina

-Reviewed the Broadway production of Annie

For her senior project, Kylee created her own website portfolio to showcase her articles, interviews, and development as a music journalist. In her words:

"My goal is to provide in-depth and insightful coverage of the music industry from a female perspective, highlighting the talent, struggles, and achievements of women in music."

Kylee will be attending Columbia International University (CIU) this fall, and her dream is to teach English in foreign countries while continuing her writing and creative pursuits. We’re so proud of the powerful voice she’s developing and can’t wait to see how she impacts the world.

Jaden Campbell, 18 years oldJaden Campbell, 18 years old

Jaden has been part of our school since he was just 4 years old, starting on drums before finding a deep love for piano—particularly jazz. His latest piece was the jazz standard “Blue Bossa,” showcasing his growth in improvisation and musical expression.

    Over the years, Jaden has:

-Learned piano technique, sightreading, and jazz chords

-Studied music production and sync licensing

-Earned a music placement in a director’s cut Pepsi commercial through our partner, Baby Lion Media

For his senior project, Jaden composed an original piece with multiple motifs, creating everything from the piano chords and bassline to the drum patterns and full arrangement. He also built a music résumé and launched a personal website to showcase his compositions and remixes.

    In his words:

“When life gives you lemons, eat them. When life gives you music, play it.”

Jaden will be attending the University of South Carolina (USC) this fall, where he plans to study cybersecurity while continuing to develop his artistry and music production.

He’s not the only Campbell we’re proud of—Jaden’s twin brother, Joshua Campbell, also started with us at age 4 and has become a phenomenal percussionist. Joshua joined the Ridge View High School band alongside Jaden and has now been accepted into the USC Band, where he’ll be attending this fall as well.
